Spring 2020: Spurred by the upsurge in weed growth in the garden due to the few drops of rain that we've had, I thought we should visit our favourite wild plants (weeds)
This is Hawksbeard or 'Crepis' to you lovers of latin taxonomy.
This cracker has been on a slow burn in the middle of the patch of green we refer to as 'lawn'. It is soon to shoot a huge - perhaps 3 foot tall stem with lots of wonderful bud clusters... then it does the weed thing, these turn into lots of horrid yellow dandelion type flowers.... at which point I will intervene with the spade. … but for now I draw.
